Had the pleasure of working with this talented young lady last year and we captured these stunning natural light acting headshots while she was up here in Brisbane!

Risa Pais – Brisbane Actress Headshots
Last year, I got to work with the lovley Risa Pais who won a competition that I ran with Star Now to help kick start her acting career. These are just some of the amazing images we created together!
Angela Olyslager – Brisbane Actress Headshots
I've known Angela for a little while now, and when she needed some new headshots for 2017, I was more than happy to answer the call and help out with a diverse range of new headshots to get her 2017 off to a great start!
For Angela's headshots and to show a wide range of looks, we ended up shooting both outdoors and in the studio to create a totally different look and feel for each shot, and ultimately this will give casting directors a better feel for Angela on screen.
Erin Connor - Sydney Actress Headshots
Recently I photographed the wonderful Erin Connor who has just completed the road tour of the new film Rise (http://www.risemovie.com.au) where she played Julie Nile. You can check out more from Erin at her StarNow page here - http://www.starnow.com.au/erinconnor4

Annikki Chand, Brisbane Based Actress
Annikki recently stepped in front of my camera to have some new headshots taken for her online acting profiles and prospective agents now that she is finishing up her acting course.
We had a great time shooting these natural light headshots in West End at my favourite location and we really played around with some different types of images including some wider angled portraits to include more of the environment.
Julius Sacco - Urban Brisbane Actor Headshots
Julius was a fellow student of mine back in high school days and we had lost touch since that time until recently when Julius out of chance found my work online in his search for a new headshot photographer. The stars aligned and we had a fantastic shoot with some of the most amazing light Ive ever shot headshots in. Here is a selection of both Julius's finished images as well as my favourites from the shoot, enjoy.
Julius's Selections
My Favourites
I chose these images because I feel that they are more than just headshots, some of which could just as easily be images used in a fashion campaign.
Sydney Headshot Photography - The University of Sydney
I love shooting headshots in Sydney, and recently I was in Sydney for the YouTube Fan Fest featuring some of the biggest international names on YouTube. One such person is Dr. Derek Muller from the hit YouTube science channel Veritasium.
Whilst chatting with Derek, I soon discovered that he had never had a professional headshot or portrait taken before. So I organised a headshot session while we were both in Sydney to get him out of any future trouble!
This is Just a little teaser from our headshot session at The University of Sydney, and we managed to get some great new headshots all over the place. We eventually ended up in the School Of Physics in a teaching lab where I created some headshots that really summed up where Derek is professionally at the moment, tying together science and education to create a confident and energetic portrait!
Tamara McLaughlin - Up and coming Brisbane Actress
Where to begin with Tamara, wow! This amazingly talented Brisbane based actress has recently completed her Advanced Diploma of Film, Television and Theatre Acting at The Actors Workshop here in Brisbane and is out to make her name in the world of film. Tamara made the decision to get new headshots soon after graduating knowing that she would need the best possible headshots to get started with an agency and to get her face out there. Tamara made a great decision and booked a Folio Package with me which allowed her enough time during her shoot to try a number of different looks and make the most of her time with me to give her all the options she needed. Here's what Tamara had to say about her experience -
Alannah Keating, Brisbane Actress, headshot photography with a smile!
Today I want to introduce my latest super actress to step in front of my fancy image maker device - Alannah Keating. I met up with Alannah to shoot some new headshots in New Farm to give her a much needed update to her previous headshots. For Alannah's headshot session, we mixed natural afternoon light with a new lighting tool called the Westcott Ice Light which is basically a super fancy lightsaber looking LED light that you can use to give you beautiful and natural looking window light to anyone almost anywhere - the second and last photos below utilise the Westcott Ice Light and if you look closely you can see the unique catchlights in Alannah's eyes!
These are just some of the many combinations of shots and lighting techniques that I will utilise during one of my headshot photography sessions and Im always trying to new things to keep your new headshots looking fresh and ahead of the market!
Here are a few kind words that Alannah had to say about her shoot -
"His precision and focus paired with his ability to make you feel completely relaxed in front of the camera was a winning combination. He was fully open to suggestion and wasn’t afraid to take risks. The headshots Tyler took for me are by far the best I have received."
So what are you waiting for, give me a call, now is the time for you to update your professional image and start getting the jobs you want!
Headshot Photography - About Retouching
I get asked a lot about the retouching of my headshots and I also get asked if people can have the RAW or unedited photos from a shoot. I wanted to write this little post to provide a little more information as to why I don't give out unedited images and what goes into making a unique Tyler Alberti headshot.
First and for most consider this; Would an architect deliver unfinished house plans to a builder and say here you go, enjoy? Or would a graphic designer deliver artwork to a printer without any of the text/content? No, the same thing applies to photography, and my headshots have a unique look and feel to them that I am happy to put my name on.
So take a look at my sample images below, on the left you can see my straight out of camera image or RAW file and on the right you can see my finished and retouched image that I would deliver to the client. I won't go into how I do my retouching but the image below was worked on in photoshop for about 15 minutes and every single image that my clients choose as part of their package will get this same retouching applied!
